What are the benefits and how do I become a member?

Burton & District Beekeepers Association is a broad ranging group of people interested in bees. We are outgoing, knowledgeable, and active in promoting the craft of beekeeping with a varied membership ranging from expert beekeepers to beginners, and others just interested in bees, beekeeping, and related topics.

We run beginners courses and also help members who intend to work through the BBKA examination system. We now have an established training apiary near Burton.

Every Autumn we hold our annual "Honey Show" in central Burton. Entrants compete for a number of coveted prizes and exhibits are on show to the public.

Other benefits of membership include Bee Diseases and Public Liability Insurance, and opportunities to take part in local, regional, and national events (when these take place!).
