I hope you and your members are well and safe, and that this summer’s weather and forage is being kind to your bees. We’re leaving ours to their own devices and have invested in a Burco Boiler for the post- extraction clean up.
I’m contacting you for two reasons. One, to say that your ADM propositions are welcome by 23 October. We’re refreshing the BBKA strategy at present and your proposals to support the Charitable objects of BBKA would be welcome to take the BBKA forward
BBKA purpose: to promote and further the craft of beekeeping and to advance the education of the public in the importance of bees in the environment.
If you’d like to get in touch about anything related to this, do get in touch.
Second, as COVID 19 continues to have an impact on our meetings and training, I’d like to remind you about the BBKA Special Editions which cover a range of topics. They are a useful resource to tell your members about and cost between £4 and £10. New editions are: Colony Management; Honey; Integrated Pest Management, and Mead Making. These join others in the series, including Queen Rearing, Swarming, Flower Families for Forage and many others. The BBKA website shop has more details:
I’m sorry I haven’t met you at meetings or at any of the Shows this year. Please do get in touch if I can assist you with anything BBKA-related.
